Children´s Summer Camp Leader

The summers of 1996 and 1997 I worked as a summe camp leader with children aged between 9 and 11 years with the  Askartza Claret school, with the Basque language groups.
I received no pay for this work, but it was very interesting as a practical experience to combine with the course of Spare Time Monitor I was following. 

The habilities I acquired from this work are:
Coordination and group work: The work was carried out in group with the other camp leaders, and we all used to meet the camp director every night to put in common the problems we had found and also to make suggestions on the plan for the following days. 

Responsibility at work and with the children: Leaders were responsible for the childs of our groups during the time that the camp lasted, but we also had to help our team-mates in order to obtain good results from the common projects and activities. 

Understanding of the evolutive psicology of children: The Spare Time Monitor Course was mainly based on the analisys of the evolutive psicology of the children according to their ages and characters. The activities of the camps contributed to give us practical knowledge about the subject.
