AFFILIATIONS WITH EUROPEAN ASSOCIATIONS OF STUDENTS


The Education Office of the European Space Agency has an affiliation agreement with five European Student Associations, with the main aim of giving information about its projects and involving as many students as possible with space.
These associations not only spread information about ESA and its projects between their members, but also run some projects with the aid of the Education Office.

In exchange for their help at making the ESA Education Office and its projects known, these associations receive an annual funding. Also, there is some money available every half a year to fund those projects proposed by the associations which best agree with the objectives of the ESA Education Office.

My task consisted on the co-ordination of the affiliation agreement between the Education Office and the European Student Associations, by keeping a fluid communication with their representatives and taking decisions about the quantity of money assigned by the Education Office for their funding.

I was also responsible for the reception and the study of the project proposals sent by the associations every six months, after which I had to take part in the committee who would take the decision of which to fund and in which proportion.
